[9:17]  Saphira Martian gets a bug lump of wet clay and slaps it on the potters wheel

[9:18]  Saphira Martian works away at the wet clay trying her best to make it look pretty
[9:19]  Saphira Martian paitently works her foot on the wheel making the table turn steadilly
[9:20]  Saphira Martian shapes the vase into a big long shape and thinks happy thoughts of masters and other long strong things
[9:21]  Saphira Martian uses her fingers to make lines on the vase, because its going round it makes ridges which make pretty circular patterns in the clay
[9:22]  Saphira Martian eyes the vase thats nearly the right shape now and works the wheel making sure the vase is a perfect shape
[9:28]  Saphira Martian grins and stops the wheel, and using some wire cuts the vase off the wheel
[9:30]  Saphira Martian takes the vase over to the glaze bucket and dips it in carefully, making sure to move her fingers under the glaze so the vase gets a nice even covering all over
[9:32]  Saphira Martian shakes the excess glaze off the pot and takes it to the kiln, puts the vase in on a firing tray and turns to the fire in the kiln, making sure she stokes it right up to get the right heat
[9:34]  Saphira Martian waits two hours for the pot to fire and then slips it out of the hot kiln to cool
[9:34]  Saphira Martian hms quietly and hapily as the pottery is complete
